Why Should I Choose You to be my running coach?

There are a lot of good coaches out there, no doubt. It’s about finding one that you connect with. If something you’ve seen on my page resonates with you even a little bit, organise a free consultation. If you feel like my services aren’t for you, no offence taken!

In the same vein, if I feel like I’m not best placed to help you, I’ll let you know and provide you with some other coaches details who would be more suitable.

Why Should I Buy A Training Plan When There’s So Many Free Online Training Plans Available?

Good question. Free online marathon training plans are everywhere. Most of them are written by qualified coaches or experienced runners, and are somewhat tried and tested.

The problem is they don’t take into account your job, current commitments and schedule, any additional physical activity you undertake, your overall health, your motivations, and don’t emphasise the good things you enjoy about running.

Using a free online plan is kind of like washing your hair with washing up liquid; sure, it will get the job done, but there’s a better way of doing it.

This is where my personalised training plans come in. They’re made just for you, and therefore easier to stick to and get you to your goal. Any distance, any time goal.


What Disciplines & Level of Ability Do You Coach?

In terms of disciplines I focus mainly on long distance, road & trail running. Most of my experience is for runners training for anything from a 5k up to multi-day ultra-marathons.

For levels of ability, I have coached absolute beginners to Boston qualifier chasers, and love working on the challenges that every level of runners bring to the table.

How Many Sessions Do I Have To Book?

Well, none technically. But if you do want me as your running coach then the minimum is one session for 1-2-1 bookings.

I always recommend starting with one or two. This way we can make sure we’re a good fit for each other and that you’re happy with the direction we are heading.

For Online coaching, the minimum contract length is 1 month and can be cancelled any time. I can also freeze your coaching service if you’re going away for a while and we’ll pick it up when you’re back.

Do I Need to Have a Specific Goal in Mind Before We Get Started?

Not at all. Sure, some runners do have a very concrete goal in mind when it comes to their performance. But if you’re unsure, then that’s something we can work on together.

We’ll look at your surface & underlying motivations, along with your running likes & dislikes, and work out a SMART goal that gets you excited about hitting the road.

Do You Offer Group Sessions?

Currently I offer corporate group sessions for companies looking to better their employee health & well being. This is completely bespoke and tailored to your company.

I can also work with private small groups of varied ability. As with corporate group sessions this is completely bespoke and information can be provided by request.
